Wendy Lawerence, Director of Squash
Wendy was born and raised in Manhattan, New York. Wendy is a nationally certified coach by the U.S.S.R.A. and coaches at the Potomac School in McLean, Virginia. She played varsity squash at Vassar College before turning Pro and ranking number 12 in the nation. Wendy has coached dozens of nationally ranked adults and juniors and is a national figure in U.S. coaching and development.
Brian O Hora, Head Squash Pro
Brian hails from Ireland where he represented his country at both junior and senior levels. While attending college in Cardiff in Wales, Brian received his BSc in Sports Coaching Science and his SRA level 3 coaching award. While in college Brian was a member of the team which won the British Universities Team Championships three years in a row. He represented Ireland in the European Team Championships in 2000. His highest PSA world ranking was 178. Brian has coached multiple national junior team members and host of other players who have played on teams such as Princeton, Yale, Harvard, Tufts, Brown, Williams and Cornell.
Jose Calderon. Assistant Squash Pro
Jose started playing squash in Colombia, his native country at the age of 14. He moved to Charlotte NC and achieved a career high junior ranking of 35 in the U19 boys. Jose played the number 1, 2, and 3 positions for George Washington University helping the team achieve its highest ranking of 17 in the College Squash Association his senior year. Jose is energetic and passionate about the sport. He is hoping to share his knowledge and love of the game to players at all levels and gain valuable experience on and off the court.
